?'s about fuel pump for carb'd 454
hopefully, you will be able to help me with my issue. I have an 86 iroc i just put a bb 454 in. Carburated. i want to run an exterior eletric pump. what modifications do i have to do to the intank pump? And do i have to have a return line, or can i just cap it off? any help will be highly appreciated. pictures would be awesome too.

If the in-tank electric pump isn't operating, it needs to be removed regardless of what other pump you use.
Whether you need a return line depends upon the pump you end up using. Some are okay without it, others need it either to control pressure, or to keep cool.
In our cars, a return line is a good idea because of the heat in the area the fuel line runs through.
