1984 Matrix3

I saw this '84 Matrix conversion in a junkyard in PHX this morning. The BLUE top is still in excellent condition, although the window is getting cloudy, it is NOT ripped. All the conversion pieces are intact including the rear seat interior panels ( in light blue)and all associated trim pieces. Many of the trim pieces are in aluminum, and look quite well done.

Re: 1984 Matrix3

Looks like the point was to retain as much trunk space as possible but still have the convertible top

Re: 1984 Matrix3

Four seats and lots of trunk space but where does the top fit when it is down.
I'd like to see a pic of that.
I'm surprised it hasn't sold - the price doesn't seem too bad for a 5 speed HO that seems to be unmolested. Sure the interior is a bit thrashed but at least it's a rust free AZ car.

Car looks like a rag to me. That rear passenger-side marker light, not sure whats going on there. They had a close-up of it, but its been removed. The top is toast, the interior is trashed, the front bumper cover is ripped, it has the wrong tail lights...

Seller agrees with you - now the price is lowered.
I wasn't thinking the car is currently pristine - just a good candidate for a resto.

Re: 1984 Matrix3

THe Right rear fender is flat, like they sprayed the color without the clear coat. There is also a funny crease on the Right rear fender behind the wheel well, or a scratch or something that looks like it was bumped in the rear.... The spoiler is missing, which I do not understand as they are everywhere and not that expensive.

Be a good car to restore, but unfortunately anything other than Autoform and ASC were not partnered with GM so the convertible I think actually is a deduction in value...

Hi, if you aren't going to purchase this car can you please PM me the name of the junkyard? I have a Matrix car and it would be nice to know where a parts car is. Thanks
