GTA air dam Modification
On my GTA the air dam bolts in front of the radiator, plus along the side ground effects. Problem on my car the bolt holes on the gfx to the air dam are either cracke and not there. Was wondering if I could cut it and still have the air into the radiator. Any problems with doing this? I noticed camaro air dams are only in the front radiator support area. Why is the GTA/TA's extend to the whole width of the car. Got a pic of what I am talking about to explain better, Any questions or comment ARE WELCOME!! Thanks

On my GTA there was three pieces, one in front and one on each of the ground effect pieces. The tabs were broken so I am not running the pieces on the ground effects and I have no ill effects.

Car: 1989 TransAm GTA
Engine: One sweet modified 355 TPI.
Transmission: The kind that shifts....
I don't have the driver side air dam, but I still have the center, and passenger sides. This is because my driver side ground effect is screwed. You can see that if you follow the links in my sig.
My car sits consistantly around 220 to 225 degrees, and occasionally hits about 235.

So it sounds like it will be ok, I rigged up my old one pretty well with wire ties up front on the radiator support only, seems to be good, so when I pick up the new one from the dealer tomorro I wil cut it, Unless other people come up with concerns. THANKS for ALL THE HELP GUYS!!
