fan control

Do you have to run an ECM for the fan relay and switch to work? I am running a carb and have lost the computer so what are my options for automatic fan control at this point?

TIA!

I got a seperate controller from Flex-a-lite - has the probe that sticks between the radiator fins, was easy to wire, cost $60, and it works great!

But - I did it 'cause I hate the in-block fan switch - never could get one to work, not because of the carb thing - I think the fans will still work with no ECM, as long as the fan switch is working.
