another a/c delete set of ???

ok i have pulled all my a/c stuff out, and currently i have the two holes exposed on the firewall. Before i put the delete box on i have some questions.

I have read on here that i should get a non-ac blower motor, and that the wiring for the motor is different on a/c motors, do i really need to get a non a/c motor? would a new non a/c impeller work on the old motor? and i do i need to reconnect the motor cooling tube onto the box?

oh and if i did need to get a new non a/c motor do they still make the pigtail connections for it so that i would just splice it in place of the old a/c plug?

thx

Re: another a/c delete set of ???

When I did mine, The old blower motor didn't fit the Ac delete box, it was too big. The Ac Delete box uses a smaller blower motor. Also when I did mine, The blower motors used the same connector.

Re: another a/c delete set of ???

When I put the A/C delete box in my '85, I re-used all the wiring that originally went to the A/C box.
You do need to get a non-A/C motor, and you do need to reconnect the cooling tube, but the one from your A/C box won't work.

It hooks up just like it did on the A/C box.
I don't think anyone makes reproductions, so you'll need to buy an original or look in a junkyard. Chances are, if you find one in a junkyard, it'll have the entire A/C delete box and all required components attached to it.
