Thread Sealant
I'm going to replace the fan control switch in my car this weekend. Was wondering if I need to use any thread sealant or teflon tape? It says nothing about it in the instructions and it is a hypertech switch.

Re: Thread Sealant
I use the permatex (or what ever the name is) thread sealant on just about anything that gets threaded into a water jacket. never have i ever had a block leak.

I've used that before. Just remember that the sensor needs to ground to the block. You don't need a whole lot just enough to seal.
