Which TPS wire

Which TPS wire, A,B,or C would I splice into to send a .5v signal to my Innovate WBO2 RPM converter? I need this in order to log with the WB. I would like to create a 3D graph with RPM, TPS%, and AFR. Thanks.

Do you need a constant .5V? If so, TPS won't help you...but on my '89 the dark blue wire is the signal voltage to the ECM...i/e appx .54 at idle to 5V at WOT, and the grey wire is the refernce 5v line...Traviz got the ground as black.

Thanks to you both! I'll have to find my Howell manual. I'm sure its in there, or perhaps the Helms.

According to Chilton's and www.chevythunder.com, for the 730 ECM the signal inputs that you may want to use are:

1. TPS - Dark Blue
2. MAP - Light Green

http://www.chevythunder.com/199092_f...227730_ecm.htm

I would think the MAP is vital to determine load, since you can calibrate the LM-1 to display kPa from the reference 0-5v.

Good luck, Ed

Thanks for your reply, Ed. Yes, I'm really starting to get used to the LM-1, and its logworks. I did a few logs, (not real time) and I was just using the RPM input, along with the AFR. Now its time to create a 3D graph. Eventually, as I learn more, I'll try to use the LM-1 to its full ability. I just wanted to be sure as to not damage the meter. Man, from what I see so far, this is a "quality" tuning tool.

my old stock harness had diff color wires than my new tps but i was able to spice it in (tps sensor and feed to LM1)with no trouble. i dont think any damage can occur. none did in my case. i am reading A/F and tps and rpm BUT as was stated the MAP is a valuable feed to LM1. will be adding that as soon as paint dries.

Thanks Ronny, Yea, it says as long its no more than 5v, it should be alright.
