Fast XFI

i am going to purchase a fast xfi for my car. i noticed that you can run the fast system either bank to bank or sequential. if i go the sequential way i would need to purchase a new distributor with a cam sensor. my question is how much more HP can i pick up going this route over the bank to bank way. basicaly looking at the pros and cons of both ways. thanks

Re: Fast XFI

You wont pick up much HP by going sequential. What you will pick up is a little better idle control. Same thing with emissions. By firing each injector sequentially, you dont leave any fuel sitting around on the top of the valve, waiting for the valve to open. This helps you with your idle quality and emissions control. However at high speed, the inejctor duty cycle is so wide that it's usually firing 75, 85% of the time, making the precision of sequential fuel injection inconsequential. At WOT, there is usually no benefit to sequential.
