How do i make VSS work after ECU removal

How do i make VSS work after ECU removal
I chucked the Ecu from my 88 firebird but left the 4 out buffer plugged in. What do i need to do to get the speedo to work again. It used to work before. Mabey a ground or something?

Buy a Dakota digital Speedo healer/programer. I had to chuck the old VSS when I swapped in the 6 speed. There cheep and pretty accurate!

actually i just redid the black/white stripe ground. no need to waste money on some electronics
