I burned my first eprom- used a hypertech bin from the chip i am running-seems to be the same $32b except fans turn on sooner. I turned up the idle and set injectors for 24lbs. The engine seems to run better, but now the ALDL will not work so my Diacom will not link up, also i get the service light. So i put the hypertech memcal back in and light goes off and the ALDL works.

I used a 29c256 eprom set start address at 4000-using pp2

Can you get flash codes if you jump A & B? Start there. Is memcal correct for ecm & engine package?

thanks for your reply. got it figured out, i did a really dumb thing, when i was programming the i clicked on move buffer instead of program device so i guess i did not have a program on the eprom.
i rewrote it this morning and now it works! i can get scan from aldl and the service light is off.

i used original memcal and copied its $32b program and made the hypertech fan changes to it. i cranked up the idle and set the injectors for 24#, warmed it up and took a couple readings with diacom. i think this is going be real fun work on.
my best time with the hypertech chip which had a 23# injector default was 13.5 104mph best 60' 2.62. so i hoping i can get 12's with some sticky tires and chip tunning
