ok guys ,

i got all of the prom equipment from craig moates , i am using a at29c256 chip , trying to get the arap bin to work on my highly modded 1986 305 tpi ,

everytime i burn a chip and put in the car the fan comes on and the ses light comes on and stays on , i cannot scan the codes , i been trying all kinds of bins no go

only thing i can think of is my starting addresses can that be?

In the .bin editor under "flags" switch the fan operation ( A/C Pressure Switch Specification Byte) to N/O (in winbin put a check mark in that box)

Works the same way. Put your 29C256 in the ZIF, load your (16k) bin, set your chip start address to 4000, end address to 7FFF, buffer start to 0, buffer end to 3FFF, and burn.

29C256 chips are 32 kilobyte. $6E bins are 16 kilobyte. If your friend has a $32k $6E bin, he's either stacked it or padded it to fit on a 32k chip without having to change the chip offsets.

maybe the burn 1 only can do 16k chips , no clue here

Yeah, his site is down temporarily (hopefully only a day or two) while he transfers ISPs.

Yes, get a fresh copy and do what i outline above. The BURN1 can burn anything you'd need to for DIY PROM burning. Its not the hardware.
