Hey all, just got myEBL oday, installed it, sans the IAT, set up for the VAFPR, (thanx fast355), I must say, that it is a huge difference!! I didn't touch the IAC/choke/idle table at all and it idles better than with the stock bin. 90pph, 28 PSi @ 675 RPM, woohoo! To get to my point, has anyone with the EBL emulated with the Autoprom? If so, how did you get it to work. I'm not sure about the offsets and and all. I haven't asked craig yet, (if you see this can you enlighten me?)


Thanx for any help. It would cut down some of my tuning time, especially WOT, which needs work.

You don't have to worry about offsets. TunerPro (or your software of choice) handles that for you by uploading the bin to the top of emulation RAM.

Just plug it in, load your bin, and go! (Well, it's almost that easy).

I think I am having a cable problem, cause even if if do just that, nothing happens. When I got it to work with the G2 adapter, I had to disable the checksum, put in a few addresses, and then it would emulate. But now I can't seem to get it to work. Any idea's?? I guess I could ohm out the cable to be sure, but I did that a few weeks ago.

Make sure you have the 24/28 pin jumpers configured correctly in the AutoProm based on what the EBL expects.

I have those set at 28, the G2 switching adapter was using the 27sf512 chip. So I should be good there.

Hi, I can only reply that it should work, others have it working. Use the EBL BIN as it is: no stacking.

Should work just loading the AutoProm with the EBL BIN as it is provided. Only suggestion I have would be to check that pin1 of the emulator is toward the inside of the ECM.

I am using the APU1 with the EBL. Had a few problems at the start (my fault) but it works very well. Only problem now is viewing the #@!&^* notebook screen in the bright sun. This system will come in real handy when I hook up my Wideband, can't wait.

I just can't seem to get it to work, would cut down alot of time for me with tuning things.

I actually figured it out, was a screwed up cable like I was thinking. I took it to work and spent an hour or so fixing it I took the flat connector apart and soldered all the wires right to the pins. Seems like from me pulling it out all the time it screwed up the connections in there. Go it to work though and straitened quite a few things out. Thanx for the replies.
