Knock Retard on Decel - 6E

About 1-3 degrees of KR occur when I rev and let off the throttle. As the rpm's are falling in the range of 6000 to 3000 RPM's, The ecm is pulling timing away. (This is with a low LV8-car in neutral), Is this normal? If not, how should I go about fixing it?

I'd look at the usual mechanical suspects first.

Are you talking about a *free* rev?. If so, what's the point in doing that?. If it's not a normal drivibility thing, IMO, doin't go out of your way to cause problems.

You do have a point. And yes, the same kind of snap throttle test you would do to check the tps graph on a scope. You know, that ant-hill looking formation... I was under the presumption that the more area's of the timing table covered, the better.
