Data logging problem
I’m having this weird problem data logging that has never happened before. I connect and start logging the data, after about 30 seconds the communication stops for about 5 – 10 seconds and then resumes. I just purchased a prominator and I wanted to download my bin file before I installed the prominator. When I try to download the bin it will freeze and then time out and give me an error saying that communication with the car had been lost. I am using the Moates GMECM software. I know it’s an old Dos program but it’s always worked for me. Are there any other programs I can use to download my bin? I have a 165 ecm and $32B code. Has anyone seen this problem before?
What is the baud rate supposed to be set at? I was using 8192 which I believe is correct.
When I was connecting the 10k ohm resistor tonight to get into ALDL mode I couldn’t remember which pins to jumper and I may have jumped pins G & H for a second or two. I’m not sure what these pins do but would this have caused a problem?
