manual tranmission swap

im swapping my 4l60e for an nv4500 manual and iv got the interior sort of buttoned up but nothing hooked up on the uderside yet. im trying to see if i can get the truck to start without any feedback from the auto trans. i went in my tunerpro and checked the "manual tranmission" box and uploaded the tune to my emulator and im still not getting any luck. is there any more i can do with the ecm or do i need to jump some wires across on the harness for the 60e? im sure its just a park/neutral safety.
