Finally got it running, now tuning issues with EGR, fan, etc
I'll try to keep this as short as possible guys:
1) EGR delete - I'm using a stealth ram on my 350, so no EGR. I read that in $6E all I should need to do is set the 'Disable EGR is MAT < X' to 300+ F. However when I do this the car cranks super slow and its almost like its filling up with fuel to the point it cranks like the battery is dying. I don't know if that is fact, but it is how it acts.
What am I doing wrong?
2) My fan only comes on when the AC is on - I am running a single fan in a '91 RS. Both control temps (w/ A/C on and w/ A/C off) are set the same but the A/C won't come on at any temperature no matter where I set the values. I think this may be a CTS issue but I'd like to here what you guys have to say.
3) I have several data logs from a little closed loop driving. I see where the BLMs and INTs get out of whack but to be honest I've been reading articles nonstop for the last 3 days (I'm a college kid on spring break trying to tune) and I still have no idea what to do with them. I read all the way through one article telling me to start with a table that I can't find in $6E. Could someone tell me where I am supposed to start with this data? I have my car idling pretty well at 700-750 RPM and I am trying to tune partial throttle now but I don't know what to do LOL. It's got a slow pickup with throttle and seems to run both rich and lean in certain spots so I assume I need to tinker with table values like I said, theres many different ones and I just don't know what they all do.

A few details:
Car: '91 RS
Engine Displacement: 355 ci
Compression: ~10.5:1
Intake: HSR
Tuning: $6E on a 165 ECM
Cam: Comp XFI 268

Sounds like you may not be using the correct ECU/XDF file. Double check that your BIN is in fact $6E, along with the ECU or XDF file.
If you think that the fan issue is because of the CTS, what does the ECM see as the CTS value (data log)?

Rbob is right as always. Do what he says.
I'll offer some advice in a completely different direction. Go to the regional forums and see if you can find a guy in your area that can spend some time showing you the basics of tuning. Thats what I did and it was just the help I needed to get going. doc (a member here) spent an afternoon with me and it was so helpful. Once I got my feet wet and learned the basics, I was able to "feed myself" from there. Starting cold turkey with this stuff was just more than I could grasp in an expedient fashion, but with just a little help, I was off and running.

So I believe those would be the correct pair for tuning it like an '89.
As far as the CTS, the temperature slowly climbed up to about 210*. I set my fan turn on way low for testing purposes, 175* I think. At 186* or so the fan duty cycle jumped from 0 to 101 but I don'believe it ever came on. The fan request status column says 'Not Requested' for the entirety of the column.
Hopefully, that cleared something up a little bit.

Maybe Mike Davis's site, he has a bunch of good stuff on it. I post the link to here on a regular basis.
You can start off by troubleshooting the fan set up easily. Short A&B together on the ALDL connector and do a key-on, engine-off. Within a few seconds the fan should run. Note that many solenoids and relays will be activated during this time, so could be lots of clicking sounds.
If the fan runs then the ECM controlled fan circuitry is OK. If it doesn't run then need to troubleshoot, it starts at the ECM, it pulls the relay coil negative to ground to enable it.
The positive side of the relay coil gets +12 volts ignition switched.

Also, I found an old article that actually gave me something to go on.. Of course, RBob is in this one as well. I do have one question though...
Based on what the posts say I need to look at my data log and where my BLMs are off I need to look at the MAF (Grams) column and adjust those values in the table. I get that, but if I see BLMs of 131 at idle and 5.XX grams in the MAF column, what do I change in the MAF table? There are values (in G/sec) above and below these values in the table. The closest values in the table are 4.69 and 6.38. But these values are vs. Volts?? What volts value is this referring to? TPS?
I think I am close to finally having a slight grip on this but I am still a little confused.

Globally in the maf tables increasing the scaler will increase your fueling. Since 131 blm is not to far off voltage feedback at the grams per second area needs to be increased. Incorporating histogram functions really simplifies tuning tpi maf.
