Hey everyone - just wanted to give a quick update.
We are currently planning the 2010 event, and we just wanted to let everyone know that we are planning on keeping the basic format of the day the same, but we are likely moving the event to October.
Cooler weather = faster times!
Post up if you have been to any of the previous East Coast Nats shows at Island Dragway, and let us know if you have any ideas for the 2010 event.
September is a possibility, but we would like to hold the event after the points seasons at the area tracks are finished. We hear from lots of racers every year that would like to race, but don't want to chance breaking their car in a non-points event when the season is winding down.
A date won't be set until January, after the NHRA schedule is set.
I should be able to make it for the event this year.
Just wondering if anyone has ever organized a cruise from the DC area up to the Island the day before the event? (for those of us with street legal cars)
would be nice to have some people to cruise with rather than run it alone.
i hope to be able to attend ... i went in 2007 and 2008 and 2009(i think). fun event. haven't raced, only did the car show. great time every year for sure
Glad to see several people interested in coming out to the show. We are still nailing down some final details, so if you have attended the East Coast Nats any of the 5 previous years and have a suggestion for an improvement, shoot me a PM and let me know.
The NJFBOA presents the 2010 East Coast F-Body Nationals.
Come on out to historic Island Dragway in beautiful north west New Jersey and race or show or just watch the fun!
Note drag racing purse is up to $125 in RockAuto gift certificates and a minimum of $125 in cash, plus all of the buy back and bogey competition kitty!
Ill be there around 11 or 12, driving up from De. Leaving straight from a 14hr night work, so if you see a big guy passed out anywhere. I'm fine, just let me be.
