Will gauges work after computer removed?
I am doing a carb swap and I removed the ecm and all related wires. I still have the wiring harness that comes out the drivers side (has starter and sensor wires on it) are all my gauges going to work? As far as I can tell the oil, temp, volt, and fuel are ecm independant right? the tach will obviously need wired to my new distributor, but what about the speedo?

Yes, most of them will work the same as before. Don't you have a speedometer cable to run your speedo? you would see it coming through the firewall right behind the speedometer.
You should have nothing to worry about.

The speed buffer is a separate (yellow) box from the ECM. If you keep the speed buffer connected & remove the ECM, the speedo should continue to work.
