cant find remote dimmer

cant find remote dimmer
I am trying to replace my remote dimmer switch, but don't know where to find it. I removed the lower dash (just above where your feet go). I saw the fuse box, adl terminal, and steering coloumb, but no remote dimmer. I have seen the pictures of what this piece looks like, but don't know where to look for it. Should I remove more of the dash? Please clue me in.

I'm looking for help in removing my remote dimmer, but that page is no longer available. Go figure huh, it's been ten years and nothing lasts forever right? Any help is appreciated.

you have to dive head first into the depths of your dashboard to reach it. and autozone sells a new one for like 20 bucks

I was really hoping for an easy way to get to the part. I already know that I can "dive into the depths of my dash". That's painfully(and I mean that) obvious. How about some constructive and knowledgeable advice on how to get that piece out.
