Oil Pressure gauge messed up
Well, my gauge is reading very high when i start the car (like near 60) and when i get above 2000 rpms, it jumps all the way to the right. somtimes it does it in relation to whether or not i floor it or not, but i dont know what the deal is. do these cars have oil sensors in the traditional sense, and if so, how hard is it to change out?
thanks a lot!

Definately sounds like the oil pressure sensor (oil switch). Most likely it's leaking giving you a sporatic reading. How easy it's changed depends on where it's located on your engine. Most 6 cyls it's located by the oil filter and you just screw it out when you change your oil. But for 8cyls it's located probably behind the distributor. It also screws out but it's reaching it where the problem comes in. If you have a 6cyl., no prob. 8cyl., well just take your time IF there is a clearance prob. Good news also is the part is cheap and can be found at any parts store.
