Cig Lighter, Power locks and Trunk release - no worky
Ok guys what do these three items have in common?
I've replaced every fuse in my box. (Habit when I purchase
a used vehicle). The switches appear to be ok, as does the
wiring.
I have not yet gone in with the ol voltmeter.
Is there a common magic black box I am missing?
Someone suggested that it may be the fuse block itself
she said the 3 may be close together. I have not found any
evidence of physical damage.

You forgot to mention that your horn, interior lights power door locks, power antenna (if present) and radio/digital clock aren't working either. The fuse ia a 20 amp located in the #11 slot (third from the left, third down). Pull ou the fuse block and look at the back. You may find the fuse mounting terminals are melted and not making contact with the fuse any longer or a broken wire. If the fuse block is melted swap it.

Hmm - does that include the clock/station display? I know that works. I dont' think I've ever paid attention to any other lights
in that area.
I'll check it out..
but I know for a fact I have interior lights and a horn.

well. the power locks and trunk release all work off relays. so you may want to check their relays..
and the cig lighters are jsut known for going bad.... pull off the lighter and see if the wire leading to it has power.
btw, i also was going to say it was the fuse.... but that same fuse does the interior lights and the horn..

You have a shorted wire somewhere, I would start off with the lighter, sometimes just loose change or a screw will cause a short,if not then go to the next item thats not working and check for voltage
