could be the fuse (it's your tail light fuse) go ahead and replace that, or it could be bad connection..grounding out, exposed wiring, a short....you just gotta play all you varialbes and it shouldn't be too hard to find...i am having a P.I.T.A. fuse/wiring problem right now....but the last time my gauge lights went out it was a weak fuse

the gauge and tail lights are off the same fuse...but if your tail lights are still working, besides a weak fuse it might just be bad connections in wiring, you might check your radio and see if the wire to your battery is still in there good too...if your radio isn;t hooked up to the battery all that needed power goes to the ignition which runs through you fuses....and that very easily could take pwer away from things like your lights

man, im having the same problem, and it sucks. i've tried everything, fuses are good, and i know the gauge pod itself is good, because if i give it a straight 12 volt line, it works. its really starting to P**S me off. all my idiot lights work, just nothing else. Hell the only gauges i have are tach, fuel, and volts. no temp, or oil pressure.
being that it IS on the tail light fuse, is it possible that by having the last taillight bulb in that series of lights burned out (mine is) that it isnt allowing the current to make a full loop and come back and run the gauges.
if ne one can help us, well be forever in your debt.

I realize initial power comes from the tail fuse but, if your parking lights (not just the tail lamps) are not working along with your gages, yea, it's probably the tail fuse. If the gage lights only are out/not working, they have their own fuse that can blow. If the fuses are good, there is a problem in the circuit to the gage lights or, the rheostat (dimmer control) in the light switch has finally burnt up, which isn't too uncommon.

well, i just got mine fixed. all i ended up having to do, even thought i allready had the entire dash apart, was put in a 25 amp instead of a 5 amp fuse i n the instrument spot, and they worked.

hey guys,
at the same time i had a burnt out headlight motor, and that was the same time my other headlight motor stopped working. inspection of the fuse pannel found a 20 amp fuse to be blown (because of the headlight motor burning up) the fuse was replaced and my guages came back (so did parking and tail lights) and my other headlight motor resumed operation...
Thanks,
:lala: tom
