One-Wire Alernator Problem

Okay, so I just replaced my alternator with a one-wire setup. The previous one was brand new, but not charging. I figured I'd just put in the one-wire and everything would be fine, but it's not. The one-wire alternator will charge for a few seconds after startup, but after that, nothing. Any ideas as to what the cause of this is would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have an electric fan, if that's the fuse you're referring to. All my fuses are in working order anyway.
