Another gauge lights problem
I just want to know the part number for the remote dimmer transitor this thing.
The dealership couldnt find it and i cant find it on the net. EDIT: Sorry i think thats it on the picture i used

Engine: 5.7L TPI
Transmission: 700R4
It is a ACDelco part number 253-327 as you see it on the part itself. Over the years that number has been changed. Give that number to the parts department and if they are worth a sh*t they can cross reference it over to a GM part number for you and tell you if it is still available or not.

I called the dealership this morning and they still couldnt find the part so i search the net and the Ac Delco part number is D1509B and its 45.99.
I think im just going to go ahead and bypass it and not have any dimming action.

Engine: lt1 intaked 355 makin 277 on 25 psi of fuel pressure and stock timing :)
Transmission: A4 stock... that moved a mobile dyno a foot shifting into 2nd :)
so how did u bypass this dimmer? i am also thinking about this.... please let me know

you can by the transister at radio shack for 3 bucks.remove the old transister( two bolts) apply dielectric grease to the new transister, bolt to heatsink reinstall done. I just did it on my 88 ta
