Where do these connectors go?
I have a few connectors loose on my GTA('87 5.7 TPI). One of them has 2 connections and is on the same wire loom as the round AC compressor connector and some sensor on the drivers side engine block near the first 2 plus. I cant find anything to plug it in to.
Other one is a wire splice off a relay or module in front of the air cleaner/ charcol canister. It is a green w/ white stripe wire. Any idea what this wire is for?
I also have a blue wire with a ring connector on the end that goes into the main wiring harness that runs down the fender on the passenger side.

After some thinking, I might know what 1 of them is.
Those sound like the connectors for the AIR control valve solenoids. It sounds like the previous owner deleted the AIR system from the car (not uncommon). Are there small metal tubes running into and on top of the exhaust manifolds? Is there an AIR/smog pump directly under the AC compressor? Is there a large (about 4" by 4") plastic box right next to or behind the compressor with large hoses?

OK. Well, near the AC compressor there should be a large black box, which should look like this:
Those 2 loose connectors should plug into those 2 solenoids on it, the black and the gray devices.

I could be wrong, but from first glance it looks like the AC clutch connection that would go in between the clutch and compresser housing. Mine is at the 2 o'clock position when facing the clutch side of the unit.
If you just spun the camrea from where it was at to just behind the clutch it should be there.

It's kind of late but I'll go out and look.
It's actually on the clutch, not the compressor.
There's two flat prongs that fit into the connector. Mine is actually at the 3 o'clock position. Look at the plug and then in behind the clutch. i think it goes there also because of the shape of the wiring to the connector. It as to curve like that so it doesn't interfere with the clutch and belt etc.

I figured out where it goes. Now the problem is that the connector is too short, it had electrical tape wrapped around it so I peeled it off and there is a little resistor connecting the black and green wire. Is this normail or have I found another red neck hack from the dip**** previous owner?

Thats not a resistor, its a diode. The diode will cause the field of the AC clutch to collaspe faster so the the AC compresser will stop faster.

I was wondering about that. Mine runs from underneath and around the outside. Somehow you need to route it differently.
Try following the wiring back to the main harness and see if you can untangle it and bring it around the other way. I can check tomorrow if you need and maybe take a pic if necassary.

I can't tell. mine is a 2.8 so i'm not sure if they're the same anyways. When i looked, the open part of the plug is facing toward the front of the car. Also the connector runs pretty much straight from the harness to the connectors on the side farthest from the engine.
I looked at the curve of the wiring from the connector to reconstruct how it plugged in.
