No parking lights, Fuse keeps blowing

Ok, heres the story. On the way home from work one night, hit a decent sized bump. The tail fuse blew, and I lost parking lights and guage lights. Brake lights still worked and I believe turn signals still work. Changed the fuse when I got home and it seemed fine. The next day I got into the car to leave work, started it and turned on the lights. As soon as I turned on the lights it blew again. Ive even tried a 30A fuse and it continues to blow. I took the rear lights aparted and looked at the bulbs. The glass part on some of them were loose and falling out. Also, one of them had the filaments fused to the glass portion. Dont know if its coincidence or not, but I installed a new stereo amplifier that day. Anyone have any ideas?

Car: Depends on the day!
Engine: the kind that runs on money
Transmission: One that holds up, I hope
Did you install a new radio or rewire the radio? The reason I ask is you mentioned a amp. If so, there is a wire behind the radio that is dark brown (looks black) that is sometime mistaken for a ground wire. It shows to be a ground until you turn the lights on, then it powers up and takes out the lights. (Dash, head/park light fuse and maybe some other things). Hope this helps..

Thanks for the reply. But no, the stereo has been in the car for a few months. However, now that you mention it, I did have to jam it in after I wired the remote turn on for the amp. Maybe I grounded something out. Ill check in the AM. Again, thanks!
