odometer repair
Does anyone know of a good place to get an odometer fixed? Speedo works fine, but odo is dead. It is electric. I was going to pull it out and look at the solder joints.
I called some places and the best price I found is $125 plus shipping

The speedometer is electrically driven, but is still mechanical. The odometer is strictly mechanical, driven by the speedometer movement, just like they've been for 60 years. Since you have to remove it to ship it off anyway, you may as well carefully open and disassemble it, find the problem(s), and repair it.

I'm unsure if the following will help or not, but it's worth a peek:

contacted them again and they emailed me saying that my speedo was mechanical, cable driven. I don't think my eyes and mind are that far gone. I have had it apart and in my hands. It is electric.
If I could get a diagram of the circuit board I would fix it myself.
