Battery Drain

Battery Drain
Anyone know how to find a battery drain. I have had a battery drain for awhile now, I went out and bought a new battery to make sure that wasn't the problem. It takes about 3 or 4 days to drain the battery down. I made sure all my stereo and amp stuff was unhooked and that wasn't it either.
Any ideas ?????

Quick & dirty method:
Disconnect your negative battery terminal and place a test light in between the bat cable & bat terminal - one end of test lite on disconnected neg cable & the other on the bat terminal. If light is on you have a drain. Make sure your hood light & interior lights are disconnected. If the light is on, remove 1 fuse at a time from the fuse panel. When the light goes out, you have isolated the circuit. THen reference a wiring diagram for the devices on that circuit.
Remember check the simple things first - console light, rear hatch light or any other aftermarket device that may be remaining on with the ignition turned off.

Awesome advise Corky I never thought of that! First check your alternator! If you have an aftermarket alarm I would look hard at that also.
