By Netural safety do you mean the switch that keeps the car from starting unless the clutch is pressed?
I just removed the Park neutral switch(attatched to the auto shifter) from the consloe and connected the large two wires to my clutch switch using just regualr spade connectors.
I looked under the dash of my '83 for a plug in for the manual tranny to connect the clutch switch to but could not find anything so I decided on this plan on action.
I am unsure about the clutch indicator light.

I Just wired the two wires together I just make sure its in neutral before I start it
My Question is about the Trunk switch. How do I wire it up so it doesn't pop while i'm going down the road? It hasn't yet but it is a worry.
I've thought about wiring it to the E-brake. but I'm wondering, how is it wired in a stock manual 3rdgen?
