Testing VATS

Does anyone know where to find a diagram of how to wire a potentiometer up to the keylock connecter to get readings to determine what GM VATS style key blank I will need to Buy for my keyless woes, thanks George. Trying to save another one from the crusher.

Re: Testing VATS

You've been asking the same question over the last few days. The answer isn't going to change no matter how many times you ask it.

There's one way to find out the value of the key. Try each value on that chart I posted on the other thread (or use the one in the link everyone keeps posting for you). You don't need a pot. Build the right resistance and solder it in, and be done with it, or find the right one, and take that info with you when you go to get the new key made.

Really this is a problem that can be solved for about $2.00, and at most, one hour of work.
