What starter?

What starter?
I'm not sure what count the flywheel is but
The motor and trans cam out of a 72 nova - 350/th350. I used a V6 2.8 starter for awhile but finally died. I would guess it's a 168 tooth flywheel (2.8 starter is a 148 tooth) and the block is drilled for straight and staggered bolted starters. I also have Hooker Supercomp long tubes. Trying not to spend 200+ on a starter.

Re: What starter?
I believe you get what you pay for. Having the longtubes, I'm assuming you'd need a mini-starter. I've had excellent results with the XS series from Powermaster. I think it was somewhere near $200 though.

Yea I actually don't mind spending the money but didn't want everyone to tell me get this $295 starter. The car is on a budget (well trying to be). Is there anyway other then counting the teeth to find out what tooth it is (installed in the car with the trans)?
