Re: need help with relays

Red wire is the prime/test lead. It goes nowhere other than being a 3 inch long wire that terminates with a female connector. It was used a a test for the fuel pump. Not all cars have them,

Re: need help with relays

OK SO DOES THAT MEAN I CAN JUST HOOK UP THE OTHER 4 AND EVERY THING WILL BE ALL RIGHT? ANOTHER QUESTION TODAY I CHASED A RED WIRE THAT PLUG IN TO THE FIREWALL ON DR SIDE IT WAS CUT SO ONLY COUPLE OF INCHS POKED INTO ENGINE COMPARTMENT. IN THE CABIN IT RAN TO THE DIAGNOSTIC PORT. I THOUGHT IT MIGHT GO TO RELAY BUT IF IT DONT WHERE COULD IT LEAD? THANKS 4 ALL THE HELP

Re: need help with relays

Yes the four wires will work. Orange is 12V always, the black with white stripe is ground, the green with white stripe is from the computer and provides 12 volts for 2 seconds when the key is turned on to prime the fuel rail, and the gray wire goes to the fuel pump. Don't know about other red wire at the firewall.
