NEED HELP WITH LT1 HARNESS CONVERSION
I am doing an lt1 swap in an older truck and could use alot of help figuring out how to get rid of all the unwanted wires and components. I will be doing away with all emission control crap, a/c,vats,etc. I also read some where that you can reprogram the pcm to do away with the maf. Not sure if that one is true though. I am hoping to find a schematic with these components deleted. I also need info on running the vss with a cable driven speedo. BTW the engine is a 95'. Any and all help would be great

Re: NEED HELP WITH LT1 HARNESS CONVERSION
Trying to keep a low budget on this one. The Painless kit that I found was almost 1,000 bucks. With the Knowledge on this site, I would much rather do it my self. Only problem is,I know very little about wiring. New to fuel injection as well. I have built several carbed small blocks but the wiring on the old school **** was extremely simple. Paint and body work is my main profesion.

Re: NEED HELP WITH LT1 HARNESS CONVERSION
there are a few great links in that list from vetteoz above. your best thing to do is check out the LTx/LSx engine swap forum. Pocket's a wiz when it comes to this stuff and has tons of posts over there when it comes to wiring. another great place to go for your research is www.lt1swap.com
good luck!
