Wacky Tacho

Hi all.

I have an '84 T/A. The tacho pegs out when the car is started.
To eliminate the wiring I temporarily ran new wiring from the distributor tacho connection and battery etc, to the tacho, bypassing everything inbetween. Still the same issue. I have bought another second hand tacho (could be faulty as well I guess) and the same thing.

So, could the disty be sending out a faulty signal the car runs fine though.

cheers.

Jonno
