Fog lights and high beams at the same time

Has anyone wired their fog lights to stay on when the high beams are on also? My mechanic said there’s some kind of plug and play wiring kit out there that lets you do this.

I did this to my 95 GMC truck, Stock, the truck had either headlights OR high beams. The kit lets you have the headlights on with the high beams.
It is just a relay that puts +12v back on the headlights when the high beams are switched on.

This looks pretty easy...and it’s free

I’ll try it out. Thank you!

Re: Fog lights and high beams at the same time

Has anyone done this on a GTA? I think it would be awesome to have both the low beams and the fog lights stay on when the high beams are activated. That would throw the max amount of front street lighting the car could deliver.

There's no reason to burn the high and low beam filament on a single sealed bulb, in fact it may just burn the bulb out in a matter of minutes.

I have my fog light in my 92 wired so I can turn them on independent of the headlights being on, but I left it so they shut off with the high beam, it's redundant.

Actually, I had wondered about that. It's possible to run both the low and high beam at the same time by continuously pulling back on the turn signal stock. I can see the potential for heat build up burning out the bulbs in matter of minutes, though. Maybe just doing the fog lights is the better option.

I actually like this idea - fogs stay on with high beams -max lighting. I put in Truck Lite LED headlights, with them the low beams stay on when you switch to high beams. But to have the fogs stay on to kick the light out to the sides up front would still be nice for a sweet wall of light.

On what vehicle? The GTA has the single headlight assembly verses the separates like the Camaro.

I have a GTA, went with https://www.truck-lite.com/27450c.html
Great lights to say the least. they blow anything halogen right out of the water, I had Silverstars before these.

Re: Fog lights and high beams at the same time

5X7 has a couple choices, JW Speaker, Morimoto and Truck Lite are some of the top choices though.

I emailed HR to see if they would do a video shootout between these 3. I'm very happy with mine, but I'm one of those people that always has a slight nagging in the back of my head if there is a better choice. But in reality, with what each costs, I'll be happy with what I have in the Truck Lite. It really is night & day with the LED's, literally, lol.
