Re: Traffic cam

I have a garmin dash cam mounted in front of the mirror. You cant even see it from where youre sitting. I ran the wires up top by the windshield and down the A pillar. Its wired into the fuse box because it has "parking mode" Turns on with movement and when the car starts. They have different models of this garmin including a smaller one the size of a key.

I posted the link in my previous comment. I purchased my garmin on amazon. the model i bought with the hardwire kit was about 160 but there are others to choose from. I have not looked into a rear view camera.

I wonder if it would be possible to utilize the power wires that run to the lights on the rear view mirror. Thoughts?

Im sure it would be possible. The hardwire kit is just a cable with IGN, BATT, and Ground. I have to double check but im not near my car to confirm if its the 65 or not. I will check to see if i have a photo on my phone of it mounted.

Re: Traffic cam

I知 looking into this for future use. When I知 drag racing or auto crossing I知 always using my GoPro and sometimes it rattles and shakes badly, the batteries are always running low, etc. a dash cam would be great for filming the races as well as some street driving in case someone accidentally drove badly into my car, I would have video proof. Then I could use my go pro in addition to the dash cam and the go pro could get different angles/viewpoints. I知 keeping an eye on this discussion. Something inexpensive but functional is what I知 thinking
