SBC 400 (6.6L) rolling short block w/extras

Just picked up a real clean SBC 400 small block. From a 1974 Chevy Casting 330817 pad stamped CSU. There is hardly any ring ridge...so I assume it is low mileage. The guy was getting ready to install a set of heads and intake but lost interest. The rear flywheel is new (never used) it is a 400 balanced flywheel, starter is new, original front 400 external balancer. Ask $375 B/O or trades Didn't pull the pan...I assume it is a 2 bolt.

Taking offers...could even be used for parts to build a 383 stroker, has complete balanced rotating assembly "front to back"...the rear flywheel is a 400 balanced unit...new- never used!

Re: SBC 400 (6.6L) rolling short block w/extras

I can crate and load it with my forklift. You would need to figure out shipping. My zip is 19129. You could also bid it out at: www.uship.com it's free to post there.

Sounds like we could use a forum for folks heading out around the country to deliver and pick up parts for other forum members. They do that on the HAMB. Great way to go on vacation and have someone help with the gas!

Hey WIII36..if you are in the area stop by...have a lot of SBC parts in my barn if you ever need any. I'm about 800 yards from the Canadian border. Send a PM..

Re: SBC 400 (6.6L) rolling short block w/extras

I know what you mean....been looking for another 3500 Dually Chevy/GMC project truck on ebay....99% of the time..they are at least 500 miles from here..any type of deal is voided with the fuel and related travel costs figured in.

It'll be in my barn until someone wants to buy it or do some trading.

Re: SBC 400 (6.6L) rolling short block w/extras

Steve: Sorry about that...thought you were the one from Texas. Here is a link to a Craigslist Helper:

http://www.craigshelper.com/

Just type in your zip code, mileage for a search and what you are looking for, you may find a SBC 400 closer to you?

The feature searches all of the craigslist ads at one time. If you still get in a bind..may be we can still figure out a deal on this one.

Mike1234..there are 400's for sale in Dallas and in the "valley"..use the helper above to find them.

Ed
