probe 383 pistons 30 over brand new p3831f-030
I have a set of brand new 30 over probe forged fps pistons. I bought them but they are for a press fit 5.7 inch rod and I need a set for a floating rod. Asking $225 or make an offer. Summit sells them for $365

Only problem is Probe show that part # as having 2 valve reliefs and yours have 4 ?

Also state that they have Spiral locks so you can use then for pressed or floating pins
so maybe what you have is not what is written on the box?
Any part # on the pistons themselves?

Actually if you look at the listings Probe don't make any 383 pistons with 4 valve reliefs

Im not sure, the part number is correct on the pistons. All the webaite I look at say press or float depending on application. As for the 4 reliefs, I have no idea. Ill call probe and see if I can get some info. Maybe they are old style probes or something. Ill get back with yall with what they say

I'm interested , just need to know the cc with the 4 reliefs so I can calc if they will work with the heads I already have ready to use on my next 383 build.
The CR may be too too low

I called probe today. They are correct. They switched 4 relief to 2 relief and to press and floating style 3-4 years ago. I now realize that the box has 2005 on it. If anyone has any questions feel free to call probe 310-784-2977. Vetteoz ill see if I can find that out for on them
