LS1 Brake upgrade brackets
Would anyone be interested in buying these? I made 2 sets of the brackets when I did the my brake upgrade and just found them while cleaning up my garage. Asking $50, free shipping or make offer.

Re: LS1 Brake upgrade brackets
They are of 5/16" steel. And the pic of the template I used. I'm still looking for the source of that template. I know it must be in my notes somewhere. Also, I'm not sure what " 3/8" steel ? " or other notes on the template page are for, it's been a while.

Last question. What size holes drilled. I want to tap the lower hole. Need to make sure there is still enough material left.

Re: LS1 Brake upgrade brackets
I'm very confident that I drilled .500" holes to accomodate M12 bolts that I used to bolt the bracket to the spindle. The caliper carrier bolt holes appear to be a little bit smaller, not much, can't remember why. I wish I still had my dial calipers.
I can email you a few word documents that I used as guide. I collected allot of info before I even started the project.
Another note - I didn't have to use spacers anywhere, the caliper perfectly aligned with the rotor.

Re: LS1 Brake upgrade brackets
No, not the bolt head but the bracket itself. That's the reason for the indentions in the bracket, indicated by the arrows in the pic. Of course you should check the clearance on installation. You may have to do a little grinding on the bracket and the spindle, I did.
BE SURE to wear safely goggles when grinding. Maybe some day I'll tell you about my trip the eye doctor.
