Re: 1989 GTA partout
I have a 1982 T-top TA that was rear-ended... I need a new chassis to move my hardware to. I'd like to see if there may be a way to work something out.
Best Regards,
Paul

Re: 1989 GTA partout
I will buy the radio pod if it is in fantastic condition with no broken radio/hvac mounting tabs.
Will also buy the headlight control module.
And the courtesy light socket in the driver side footwell. Just snip the wiring and give me about a foot of wire length.

Re: 1989 GTA partout
I'll check on the radio pod. First time I'll be messing with a firebird interior. But I'll let you know once it's out, its condition. Along with everything else.

Re: 1989 GTA partout
As far as removing the entire pod, I think there are two large screws at the top (13 mm socket), and a nut and bolt waaaaay in the back on the floor. The center console has to be removed to make way for the pod to come out.
I can't remember if you have to remove the upper dash to get to those top bolts. If so then you'll have to remove the entire upper dash cover pieces. And you'll need to remove the lower dash on the passenger side to get access to more screws.
Meanwhile, you don't dare pull and tug on that pod or the plastic top frame will break. It will come out with a pinky finger when it's ready to come out.

I'm about to plastic weld the crack on the top bracket. Everything else is good and not broken.

You can check the HVAC and radio mounts by just popping the bezel off with your fingers and dismounting the HVAC and radio. The radio mounts are usually broken.

Re: 1989 GTA partout
How much for these parts:
Door pull grommet
And the 3rd brake light contact (form the hatch)
Also, do you have the EGR Solenoid (rubber boot and hard lines from the base of the TPI Manifold and hard lines from this part?)
Thanks.

Folks, on 10/6, I asked a question which is still unanswered. Not sure if this is still an active ad/listing, or not.
OP, are you still selling parts, or? Thanks,

Ok. Let me know. And understand, life can get busy.
On the armrest grommet, looking for the driver's side, if that one is still good. Thank you .
