I am nearing the end of a long project to build and install a 383 into my 1982 Z-28. I want to install the GM oil cooler on the engine. But I cannot find the two special studs that attach the filter adapter to the engine. Normally they are just two bolts, but on oil cooler equipped cars they are studs to keep the oil cooler in alignment and prevent it from turning and leaking. Does anyone have the two studs left over from a project or parts car? Thanks, Andy

Andy if you can not find the bolts, I have a new adapter (14092135) that I will sell you for $25.00 + the shipping. If you would like to see a picture send me an email address to attach it to.
Thanks, I have a new adapter, it's the special studs I need. I have actually attempted to make them myself, but that didn't work out too well. Thanks, Andy

There are two styles; non-oil cooler style uses bolts, and the oil cooler style uses studs which contain a boss to keep the oil cooler in alignment.

Trust me I know what you want. One reason that I ask for email addresses when I sell items is so people have an opportunity to see what I have. The bolt that you are talking about holds the oil filter adapter attachment to the block and has a pin that protrudes down into the oil cooler.
