What in the world have I got myself into......
Today I started the swap. Out with the old LB9/700R4, in with the new LT1/T56. The engine and transmission are out, and now I find myself thinking "what in the world have a got myself into". There are several questions I have at this point, but mainly, for those who have done the swap, what do I do now. In other words, if you had it to do all over again, what would you do before you installed the LT1? I know I have to modify the K-member and motor mounts, but is there anything else?
Also, Im just curious what the wiring is direclty above and beside the brake booseter? What does all of that run? Do I need to remove all of that, or will that plug directly into the new engine.

Indeed I did. I bought the Spohn crossmember. Did you keep A/C? If so, please, in detail, tell me how you did it. Every step. Thank you.

I have the compressor mounted, made the indention in the crossmember so it would clear with a big hammer. I'm going to use a a/c block that comes straight up so it will clear the headers and I'm using a 4th gen underhood fuse block so I can use the 4th gen a/c, cruise and currently running the fans with no problems. I also have all of my injector and ignition wiring going through this so I didn't have to cut any plugs off of the LT1 wiring harness.
TexasLT1 has some good pictures of a few of the steps here

the accessory mounting link has the exact steps to be able to mount the LT1 a/c compressor in a 3rd gen car.
