V6 to 350 Harness problems
So I have my nice 350 dropped in and started on wiring my harness up recently. I followed pockets sticky on "how to prep a third gen harness" I have power to all the accessories I need like the lights turn signals etc. I however do not have power to two of the main lines I need.
One is the purple starter wire. When I turn the key to start position there is no power to this line. In some of the swaps I have seen where the neutral switch has to be bypassed, but I'm not sure if that is the case. It would probably be the best solution however, as I am also swapping the tranny to a TH400.
The other is the pink wire which goes to the distributor. I also have no power here in the run position of the key. I have no clue what would be causing this, and am considering using another wire that is no longer used (like Igj 1) to power the distrib.
Any thoughts and comments appreciated, and thank you Pocket for getting me this far!

There are two large red chassis power wires that go to the positive battery cable at the starter solenoid. Did you hook both of them up?

Yes sir, the are hooked up at the starter and are giving me power to the fuse block.
ETA. Also the starter works fine when "jumped", however will not start from the key. 350 is also carbed so computer has been removed.

Yes, but not by using the factory wiring. Rewired new hot for the starter. Really was the easiest way for me. The rest of the harness works great however. I still need tO clean up the bay, looks like my car threw up noodles! Tomorrow I get my carb in and hopefully she will start for the first time
