350
So I'm looking to buy a decent 350 for my camaro. I'm trying to stay in 1000 to $1500 range. Any suggestions? There's rarely anything on craigslist and when there is it isn't worth buying

Re: 350
1987, I'm not a mechanic, but I've owned my 88 Gta since 96, and had an 84 TA before that so I've worked on these cars a bit. From what I know, a 350 will fit but you're going to have to replace a slew of things to drop it in your 87 V-6. I just posted about putting a brand new gm crate engine in my 88 Gta. It costs about 1800 brand new. It makes 290 HP with a carb, about 260 w/tpi. You can order it from jegs, summit, gm performance, or most gm dealerships. It comes with a 3 yr/100000 mi warranty so you can be sure of what you're getting. There are several posts on this board about swapping a 305 or 350 into a v-6 car. Check them out. Hope this helps.

That's actually the engine I've been looking at haha. Let me know how it works out and some feedback on what you think of the motor. Thanks for your help
