Will it fit?
Hi. I just got my hands on a 350 from a second gen Camaro, GM casting # 3970010. Does anyone know if this will fit my 84 Z28? If not I'll probably just clean it up and sell it, but I couldn't pass up a free engine that runs well. Thanks for any help.
Paul.

It's exactly the same size as the motor that's in your car now. The only difference will be the dip stick is probably on the driver's side on the 350.

Casting 010 blocks are a good block to have. The casting number means nothing else since internally cam, pistons etc can all be changed. The 010 casting is a strong high nickle alloy block. Most of the time it's a 4 bolt main but they were also made with 2 bolt mains.
The dipstick will be on the drivers side.
Externally all SBC V8 engines are the same. A 305, 350 400 or if you go to the real small displacement SBC engines, all have the same external dimensions.
