new wheels *yay*

having lived with a slight flat on one front wheel for a long time (long story!) i finaly got a set of ARE outlaw II's orderd for the camaro.

not my absolute no 1 choice, but i have been trying to find a decent set of GTA wheels for 2 years, and only found 2 sets, one not worth a light, the other frighteningly expensive. even buying from the US, by the time import duty is added, then tyres, its expensive.

these cost £90 per wheel, plus i was able to use my set of virtualy new cooper cobra's off the old wheels, (they were new for the MOT last sept)

all in all, i'm absolutely thrilled with them, the car rides much smoother now too!

Did you buy them in the UK or US? What size tyres are you using? Can't complain for £90.

£90 is $157.5 US. I believe.

bought them in the UK, from USAutomotive - exactly 14 days from ordering to collection.

USAutomotive is about 4 miles from my house, so its the easy answer!!

i had fitted 4 brand new tyres 4000 miles ago, so sed them (cooper cobra's) 235 x 60 x 15's

Sweet wheels, Phil! They give your IROC an air of aggression.

(Even if I do like the stock Pontiac alloys on my 'bird)

LOL!

Shows how much I don't know about F-bodies...yet
One's a screaming chicken, the other's got a name beginning with C and some letters after it; Z or RS or something.

importing them is a headache.. shipping isn't funny on something that big, plus customs often refuse to clear wheels if they have tyres on them (good way to hide things, and the steel belts in the tyres make them very difficult to x ray)

best bet is to find some 4th gen Z28 wheels second hand over here, they are about, but not cheap.

Problem with the 4th gen wheels is that you will require spacers.

I've never once had any issues with shipping of large items. I just have everything flown in and have it in my hands in a few days. Only problem I've had was when someone state side put on the paperwork that it was sandals I was importing, which when the crates were opened it turned out it was not. That aded an extra 2 days to delivery while they contacted me to enquire what my game was exactly.

Phil- really looks the part! I'm impressed

I won't even abuse the IROC decals just now- I'll save it for another time

Good choice and amazing value!

colour scheme to stay 'as is' but the stripes will be bought down to the edge of the bonnet, and no iroc decals.

will look pretty much the same, but better detailed.
