Anybody have or have herd the Flowmaster American Thunder exhaust?
Well I should be able to blow off some cash on this paycheck tomorrow. Should I get the American Thunder exhaust? for 327.00 or the Force-II for 229.00. The American Thunder exhaust is sopposed much louder and the Force-II exhaust is sopposed to be a little more quiet while driving down the road. Well what do you think?

Flowmaster American Thunder
I'm in the process of putting the American Thunder system on my car. Fit & finish is good. Seems like I chose it because it had the stock type dual outlets. I think the Force II has two outlets on one side. I also have a used dual cat setup from another car that I'm putting on and they only made Amer Thunder to fit it, although now I think I could have attached a single cat back system to the oem cat y-pipe. I'm expecting it to be louder than I want. I noticed some baffle type devices in the jegs catalog that should quiet it down some. I'll see.

It will probably be a couple months before I'm done. I planning a 350 for it to do an engine swap too. I'm gonna go with one of the 1-5/8 headers like Edelbrock or Hooker or Hedman. Don't want to spend $500 for headers. Like I said if its too loud I'll try one of those baffles type gadgets in the Jegs catalog. It looks like there made to be able to run headers without mufflers. I figure they ought to quiet it down some. Of course they claim no increase in backpressure but it will probably be some. Still ought to be a good power increase over using manifolds.

I know I should've kept the sound files in the sig..
The setup is L98 350, SLP 1-3/4" headers, Catco cats (when they're on), 3" American Thunder catback with dual 3" outlets. Recorded with a crappy laptop microphone, 5 feet to the rear of the car.
Dual cats installed
Straight pipes in place of cats
Straight pipes w/ open cutout in I pipe
