4th gen exhaust on a 3rd gen camaro?
Do systems made for a 1993-2003 camaro fit on a 1991 camaro z28 350 TPI? (My Car) I am specificly Looking at a corsa exhaust system i saw on the net it sounds sweet but it is only made for 1993 and up camaros. Would it fit or could i make it fit with minor nodifications?

im with you on this one raptere... i was looking into a corsa for a long time now... i know that the muffler and tailpipe section will fit the 3rd gens, but the y pipe might be a little different... worse come to worse use a 3 inch thirdgen Int pipe but thats more money and a waste of a stainless int pipe ...i got a friend with lt1 that say it will fit... now all i got to do it get him to loan me his stock y pipe to make sure (hes got a mufflex 4 inch on ther now... his name is steve he was in GMHTP lt1 shootout for this months magazine, it has a couple of 4th gens on the cover... what do u think about the b&b tri- flow hes got one and would sell it to me for 300....

The tailpipes and muffler section is the same with the exception of one hanger i think the intermedediate pipe will probably have to be made. Good luck finding an exhaust shop that will build you a stainless intermediate pipe. If your really stuck on the sound buy a jcwitney $150 3" system throw away the muffler that came with it and try to find a corsa crossflow muffler. If I were you I would buy a cheaper catback and get some headers and a high flow cat for about the same price as teh $800 catback and you'll have a lot better sounding exhaust for much cheaper.

No hate man just in the future use the search button like us other newbs... the corsa exhuast looks pretty sweet its just not something I've ever seriously considered. The thought of putting an $800 exhaust on a sub $5000 car just seems a little outrageous to me, especially if you don't have anything else done to the car. For me the hooker sounds pretty damn good, a little quieter than I thought but I've heard mufflers tend to get louder after a week or two as the packing settles. It sounds a lot louder outside than inside which is nice too.

The hard part will be finding someone that wants to install it for you. But I got mine to work, and if you notice the converter is now gone also.

Re: 4th gen exhaust on a 3rd gen camaro?
Last post was from 2002, lol!
I ended up putting exhaust on the car, and went with the Magnaflow Catback. Problem is it was so long ago I'd have to search for which PN I ordered...
They seem to make a different PN for both, but they look very similar...
1993 - https://www.magnaflow.com/products/1...exhaust-system
1991 - https://www.magnaflow.com/products/1...exhaust-system
If I recall my cats were shot at that time, so I replaced them and got a Flowmaster y pipe that connected each of my dual cats to one 3 inch pipe, which I connected to the long straight pipe on the catback with an ss band clamp. You have to remember there were a few different configurations of the cats over the years. Also, my catback pipe and Flowmaster y pipe are both 3", don't remember what the size would be of the factory exhaust at that point...
Not a great photo, but this is my current setup. Cats are gone now, replaced with pipe. Dont mind the rust...

If you already have an 3" aftermarket system, just swap out the muffler for one you like more. 3rd gen exhaust systems are pretty simple & cheap as far as it goes.
I have a 4th gen SLP 2otL on my GTA, mated to a custom Y-pipe, which connects to my Hooker 2210 LTs. Doesn't hang down too much.
