You need to remove your passenger side motor mount, and unclip the air filter housing. Put a piece of wood under the oil pan, and slowly jack up the passenger side of the motor. Then drop the header in. The 2055's tell you to do this in the instructions. I also had to do this when installing mine.

I had to position myself a certain way, and grind down a wrench to tighten the back bolt.

I understand this is not going to make any sense. But I had a similiar problem. I had trouble getting it to line up. I just played with it, and got it to fit perfectly. I don't know if it had to do with the angle I was at or what. But in the end, the headers fit great, y pipe fits awesome under the car, and I added 2 mph to my 1/4.
Also, try not tightening one side, then doing the other. Start one side, and then start the other side.

Make sure you definately put it back in there, though. I made that mistake after installing my 2055s and it lost about 1 1/2 quarts of oil which dripped down onto my y-pipe. Not cool at all.

90CamaroTBI, nope. Doesn't leak at all. Just make sure you fully seat it back down when you reinstall it. I'd recommend having a partner look at the tube from the bottom of the car and tell you how far down to push it in. Takes the guesswork out.
Red25thRS, I had a hard time with the plugs at first, too. I couldn't get at them with a standard socket because the primaries got in the way, and the plugs would get loose and cause misfires. I picked up a set of angled box end wrenches from AutoZone and they work perfectly for getting those hard to reach spark plugs. I highly recommend them for easy spark plug installation... they are $19.99 at AZ and they look like standard wrenches except they have a curve in the neck right before the end.
The ball flanges work ok on my car. Hooker makes them extremely narrow, almost to the point where it seems like it would hurt performance (although I've never heard any complaints from anyone with 2055s). I have to agree with you that it's one of the few things that I disliked about these headers. However, I had a friend of mine open the flanges up by a pretty good bit so it's not really a problem for me. No leaks either.
Personally, I would buy an AC Delco O2 sensor. My Bosch O2 didn't strech far enough so I decided to buy an AC Delco (after hearing about how crappy the Bosch O2s are). Fits snug, but not bad enough to cause problems, and the car runs a lot better than it did with the Bosch part in there--no lie... it definately made a noticable difference. Plus, the AC Delco sensor is only $5 more than the Bosch sensor, and that was a price from the GM parts dealer.

well everything is back together.....what an insane diff in power now.....not to mention it sounds like 800 times better now....i do have a question and it my sounds dumb....but its normal for it to smoke once it warms up in the engine bay...becuz i handled the headers with really dirty greasy hands.....i can see where the smoke comes from...im just thinkin its burnin the grease off?
