Side exhaust and subframe connectors..
after doing some searches and seeing that it is possible and looks awesome having the exhaust come out the sides before the front tires, i decided that is what i want to do with my exhaust.. now the problem that crossed my mind, is can i do this even with subframe connectors? i don't have them put on yet, and will probably have it done the same time i have the exhaust done..
butthose of you that have done the side exhaust do you have the connectors? and if not can someone tell me if it will still be possible to put it out the sides with them?

Dracul, hehehe.....you want to exit in before your front tires?? So you'll route them under your k-member and under your A-arms. You sure it wasn't some guy going REALLY REALLY fast in reverse so it looked like his exhaust were in front of the front or is that rear tires?
OK, all kidding aside. If you want to exit before your rear tires with sub-frames it probably could be done with some Dr. Gas components. They make really slick frame clearance tubes to get under, around, and over different types of areas. You could even go with a more "flat oval" type design which would look like the cat's ****....whatever that looks like.

simple,
chop huge channels in your floor.
weld a curved top over the holes.
add some other re-enforcements.
then run your tubes thru the newly created exhaust area.
anything else, doesnt really work.
the best ive seen done was a old pic of a blue camaro with silver billet rims... it had a "nascar style" side exit exhaust.. 2 on one side.
stick your head under your car and look at your floorplan before you think abotu it some more.. you'll see what i mean.

well don't i feel like an idiot... yeah i did mean the back tires, and i did look and i saw that it was tight under there, i just also saw that other people did the side exhaust and for some reason i figured 1 of them probably had connectors they had to work around..
so i guess since i have the connectors i have no choice but to run it the whole way back...
oh well, thanks for the replies.. n clarifying that for me..

Dracul, don't give up that easy if it's something you really want to consider doing. Yes, ground clearance will be sacrificed a bit but not that much to say "forget it". Take a look at what Dr.Gas offers...seriously. I'm in process of fabbing an entire true dual 2.5" up over the passenger side axle with components almost entirely from Dr. Gas.
Good luck with your build.
